Worktops

Make it stand out.

You may know the tone and final design of your space, it’s only when you decide the worktop that your kitchen begins to take shape. We have a wide range of samples of the finest stones in the UK; from quartz, granite and limestone in a wide range of finishes and colours, that we can confidently say that you’ll definitely find the perfect stone for you.

When we have found your perfect stone we can discuss what edge you would like around your worktop and if you like any grooves for drainage by your sink.

  • Quartz

Quartz has become the perfect option for kitchen and bathroom worktops over and above other traditional materials. Now you can get the look and feel of natural stone in a beautiful sheet of engineered material. Predominantly made of crushed quartz crystals, quartz is manufactured to be exceptionally strong, non-porous and hard-wearing. Great for in kitchen and bathroom spaces where traffic and daily use is high, and also the endless colours and pattern possibilities that are offered with this surface.

  • Granite

Of all the natural stones, granite is the most resilient. It is incredibly scratch resistant, almost impermeable to water and can withstand exceptionally high temperatures. In a kitchen environment, granite worktops are traditionally the most suitable material, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a limestone or marble worktop. Both limestone and marble are much softer and more porous than granite, making them much more difficult to look after.

Not only is granite incredibly hard and tough, it is also exceptionally beautiful and unique. Each slab is a detailed network of distinctive patterns and colours ranging from light grey-white to deepest, richest black.

  • Limestone

Not just for flooring, some of the finer grained, more dense limestones are also suitable for kitchen worktops. Before opting for a worktop, users must be fully informed as to the properties and limitations of this natural stone. Although incredibly durable and hard-wearing, it is reactive to acidic solutions often found in the kitchen, making it much less practical and more difficult to maintain than harder, tougher materials such as granite or quartz.

  • Oak

Oak worktops are a cost effective way to create a beautiful work surface. Not as sturdy as a stone worktop, but it gives a warm feel to the room. Why not mix it with a stone work on the side and wood on the island. We use wood with an oil finish. This will enable you to look after it for years to come.

  • Worktop edges

Once you’ve chosen your kitchen worktops or bathroom countertops, it’s time to choose your edge detailing. We offer a wide range of different edge profiles for you to choose from. Samples of the different edges are available in our showroom

  • Drainer Grooves

For those looking to create a more minimalist kitchen work surface, drainer groove areas are a popular choice. This solution involves carving a draining area directly into your new granite or quartz kitchen worktops. There are several different options we are happy to talk you through them.
